Machine vision filters are bandpass filters which are designed for imaging recognition fields, such as face recognition, car plate recognition, multi-touch panel etc.
The typical center wavelengths are 850nm, 940nm, 808nm, 650nm etc. To suit for wide angular acceptance, the filters are designed for installing between the lenses and CCD/CMOS sensor. So, a thin thickness of the filter is required to avoid defocussing seriously when the filter is introduced. The blocking level is less than 0.5% over 400-1100nm, which is the resposing range of CCD or CMOS chips.
