APPLICATION AND PERFORMANCE:
XYlink311 is equal to Cayturu00ae31 DA. It is a delayed action diamine curative primarily for use with urethane prepolymers based on TDI (toluene diisocyanate) or MDI (diphenylmethane diisocyanate) and polyether polyols. It consists of a complex of methylene dianiline (MDA) and solium chloride dispersed in dioctyl adipate. It has a very low free MDA content. At room temperature, it is virtually non-reactive. However, when heated to 120u2103(After catalyst added, it can take the temperature down to 70-80u2103), the salt complex unblocks and the freed MDA rapidly cures the prepolymer, forming a tough elastomer. As a liquid with reasonable viscosity, XYlink311 could be mixed with prepolymers at room temperature, and it is suitable for use with conventional processing techniques, such as: open casting, transfer, compression or liquid injection molding and rotational casting as well as other techniques such as dipping that require one pot systems. In addition, it is uniquely suitable for special applications that require large surface areas, intricate design, microwave curing or other situations which demand essentially unlimited work life and stability. The curing properties of XYlink311 are similar to MOCA. When it mixes with prepolymers without heated, gelatin phenomena will not occur, it can be used in MDI-based prepolymers.u00a0
XYlink311 can be applied satisfactorily with hand mixing or automatic mixing casting equipment for processing liquid urethane elastomers.u00a0
